Zie 556_2284 de zelfde foto en van betere kwaliteit en op de juiste manier afgedrukt. =================================================================== De Haagse villa "Simpang" is één van de drie residenties voor de Zuid-Afrikaanse Ambassade in Nederland. De villa is ontworpen door Architect Ed. Cuypers in een historische bouwstijl in opdracht van de Dordtenaar J.A. Stoop. De heer Stoop was President Commissaris van de Perlak Petroleum Maatschappij. Deze onderneming won olie in Simpang op Noord-Sumatra. Een aantal van de genoemde zaken is terug te vinden als detail of bouwdeel in dit huis. Zo is het huis bekend als ‘Huize Simpang’, welke naam in mooie belettering boven de hoofdentree staat. Grote muurschilderingen in het open trappenhuis geven het gezicht op Dordrecht weer, eind 19e eeuw.
